Description
The Delta DVP04TC-S Thermocouple Sensor Module is designed for integration with Delta DVP-series PLCs to enable precise temperature measurement using standard thermocouple sensors. The module accommodates four independent thermocouple inputs (channels CH1–CH4), each configurable as either J-type or K-type.
It converts analog thermocouple signals into 14-bit digital values, delivering temperature readings with a resolution of 0.1 °C (in Celsius mode) or 0.18 °F (in Fahrenheit mode). The supported temperature input ranges are:
-
J-type: from –100 °C to 700 °C (–148 °F to 1292 °F)
-
K-type: from –100 °C to 1000 °C (–148 °F to 1832 °F)
At standard ambient conditions (25 °C), the module achieves ±0.5% full-scale accuracy; over 0–55 °C ambient it maintains ±1% full-scale accuracy.
The module supports user-configurable averaging over multiple readings (from 1 up to 4096 samples) per channel to smooth out noise and improve measurement stability. It also includes self-diagnostic features and fault-code reporting, with LED indicators for power, run, and error states for easy monitoring.
For communication, DVP04TC-S offers RS-485 interface supporting MODBUS ASCII/RTU, allowing remote reading and configuration of control registers. The module draws minimal power—2 W at nominal 24 V DC—and is designed for DIN-rail mounting for compact installation in industrial control panels.
Suitable for a wide range of industrial applications — from process control and thermal monitoring to automation systems — the DVP04TC-S is ideal when you need reliable, accurate temperature data from multiple thermocouples in a PLC-based system.
