Description
The Weintek MT8071iP is a versatile, cost-effective Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel intended for industrial automation, machine control, and process monitoring. It features a 7-inch TFT LCD display with 800 × 480 resolution, capable of showing up to 16.7 million colors, backed by an LED backlight with a rated lifespan of more than 30,000 hours — ensuring stable visual performance even under long-term use.
User interaction is via a 4-wire resistive touchscreen, which provides reliable touch response even in tough industrial environments (e.g. with gloves) and supports accurate input within about ±2% tolerance on both axes.
Under the hood, the panel is powered by a 32-bit RISC (Cortex-A8) 600 MHz CPU, along with 128 MB flash memory and 128 MB RAM, giving enough performance and memory to handle modern HMI applications: graphics, data logging, alarms, user interfaces, and communication with PLCs or controllers.
For connectivity, the MT8071iP provides a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, one RS-232 COM port, one RS-485 COM port (2- or 4-wire), and a USB 2.0 Host port — enabling easy integration with a wide range of PLCs, sensors, drives, and industrial devices. A built-in RTC (real-time clock) supports time-stamped logs or events.
Power requirements are standard for industrial settings: it accepts 10.5–28 VDC input (commonly 24 V DC), and includes built-in isolation for safety. The front panel is rated IP65 / NEMA 4, giving dust and splash protection — important for harsh factory or workshop environments. The housing is slim and panel-mountable (≈ 200.4 × 146.5 × 34 mm), making it suitable for control cabinets or operator panels.
Thanks to its balance of performance, connectivity, ruggedness, and compact form-factor, the MT8071iP is well-suited for tasks such as machine control panels, process visualization, operator control interfaces, alarm displays, small-scale SCADA, data logging, and general industrial automation tasks.
